Introduction
Takapuna Grammar School acknowledges outstanding achievement in sport and takes PRIDE in its sport. Takapuna Grammar School also acknowledges the role of sports in contributing to an all-round TGS student. We are committed to developing the current sports and resources offered and are constantly looking for ways to develop the range of sports at TGS.
Sports facilities include:
• Two gymnasiums for indoor programmes
• An outside turf for tennis, hockey, netball use
• Outdoor hard courts for tennis, netball use
• Five sports fields
• A 22m swimming pool (and changing rooms) for summer use, which provide excellent opportunities for developing swimming sports at TGS.
The Takapuna Grammar Sports programme runs 12 months of the year, offering opportunities for students in both summer and winter sports (see Sports Offered section).
We encourage all students to participate in sports throughout the year, encouraging friendships, good health, success, participation, team and individual confidence building. TGS also encourages students to achieve their sporting best, whether they are in a social team, competitive team, individual sport or a sport not currently offered at TGS.

Drop Deep Skateboarding
ATTENTION ALL SKATEBOARDERS:
Drop Deep Skateboarding will be in the school grounds on the Netball courts at lunchtime next Friday 17th May. Daniel Gemmell (One of NZ's best!) will be here!
