The subjects you choose each year will close some future options and could restrict your future tertiary training and job options.
Focus on the future – make sure that you keep subject choices that can progress through to Year 13.
To work out possible career direction, think about your career ideas, dreams, interests, skills, aptitudes, values and personal characteristics. Talk to people doing jobs of interest.
Subjects and qualifications required for Tertiary Study Most courses look for overall achievement. Certificate courses require 3 or 4 years secondary schooling, diplomas require a minimum of 48 credits at Level 2. General degrees require a minimum of 42 credits at Level 3. TGS Strongly recommends that students who may attend university maintain 5 approved subjects in senior school.
