The 2009 Athletics Prelims were held on a beautiful Auckland day with over 250 students competing in eight different events spanning from the 400m to Javelin. Some excellent results from the competitors who will compete in the finals day on Monday 23rd February.

TGS Finals Day was hosted on yet another sunny day where all junior finalists along with the seniors competed. The top 2 from each event has the opportunity to compete for TGS at the NH Zonal day at Millenium Stadium on Wednesday 4th March.

The North harbour Zone day was held on Wednesday 4th March where a record number of TGS students attended.

Tuesday 16th February - TGS Athletics Prelims
Tuesday 23rd February - TGS Athletics Finals
Wednesday 3rd March - NH Zone 2 Athletics
Friday 5th March - NH Champs of Champs
Saturday / Sunday 20th & 21st March - NISS Champs
Saturday / Sunday 11th & 12th December - NZSS Champs

 		 
 
Cross Country  
 
   
The 2009 NHSS zone day was held at Moire Park with 8 TGS students competing. Notable performances were Vicky Inger who finished 8th in the Junior Girls, and Andrew Ranford who won the Intermediate boys section by a comfortable margin.


The AKSS Cross Country was held at St Kents College and some fantastic results were produced from TGS. Vicky Inger came 18th in a very large and strong Junior girls field. Andrew Ranford couldn't quite stay with some very fast AGS boys but finished a very strong 3rd place. Congratulations to Vicky and Andrew!!
