Introducing our new TGS Board Chairman
Dear Parents and Guardians May I introduce myself as the new Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. On behalf of all the elected trustees I’d like to thank those of you who took the time and trouble to vote in the recent elections. We have a broad range of skills on the new board and a commitment to continue to grow and improve our school’s well-being in both good governance and student achievement. To do this we need to recruit and retain the best teachers, provide a learning environment that meets the needs of our school community and act on your behalf in the strategic direction the school takes. We have some challenging times ahead in the current economic climate and I thank the staff at TGS for making the most of a tight budget while still delivering a high standard of teaching to our students. I would also like to be more engaged with you, our parents and wider community whom we represent, in how you view the school developing and what goals we should have.
