Cookbook Update
In September 2011 we were proud to launch the Takapuna Grammar School cookbook “The Taste of Takapuna”, which contains over 160 recipes collected from families, staff, ex-pupils and friends of Takapuna Grammar.
The funds raised from the sale of these cookbooks will be used to enhance the central courtyard, which has become the heart of the school following the completion of the Ralph Roberts Building. The investment in this area will provide an attractive and welcoming space which will benefit our current and future students. “The Taste of Takapuna” is a culmination of many hours of hard work and dedication from our cookbook committee and PTA. Your support will enable them to attain this worthwhile goal.
On Tuesday 1 May, we will be handing each Year 9 student 2 books to bring home to sell. Please take time to read and enjoy our cookbook. With a wide selection of recipes and stunning photography the Taste of Takapuna encapsulates why we choose to live, work and educate our children in this beautiful peninsula. Remember Mothers’ Day is just around the corner or they make great birthday gifts for friends and family.
The books are $39 each or we do have a special offer of 3 books for $100 (a saving of $17), please contact the school if you wish to take up this offer and we will get a 3
rd book to you. Payment can be made by credit card online
(here is a quicklink direct to the page) or by cash/cheque to the school office. If making payment online please make sure you give the student name/form class so we can keep track of the payments.
Should you choose not to sell the books please return them to the school office in as new condition as soon as possible.
Kind regards
SIMON LAMB
Principal
Takapuna Grammar School
PS: Please ignore the letter which is inside one of the books as this was for the original launch issue last year, we didn’t want to undo all the packaging to remove them.
Many thanks
Helen Parker(for the Cookbook Committee)
A Taste of Takapuna
We are very excited to announce the launch of the Taste of Takapuna. After 18 months of work we have finally signed off the proofs the first edition has arrived. The cookbook committee and PTA would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to turn our idea into a reality. Our grateful thanks to the advertisers and businesses who have supported us, together with all those who contributed recipes and assisted with the photo shoot. Taste of Takapuna has been a real community effort and something that our Takapuna Grammar School families and staff, both past and present, can truly be proud of. The money raised from the sale of this cookbook will benefit future generations of both Takapuna Grammar School and the community at large.
